Last year, Dana Meise set records when he hoofed across the Trans Canada Trail from the Atlantic to the Pacific Ocean, completing his 16,500-kilometre journey on Dec. 17, 2013. In April 2014, Meise started his hike along a portion of the Trail not often travelled, heading north towards the Arctic Ocean. Travelling from Fort Saskatchewan, Alta. to Inuvik, N.W.T., the 3,800-kilometre hike will take six months. For the final leg of his journey, Meise will be kayaking towards Tuktoyaktuk, N.W.T. Meise will keep Canadians posted on his travels through social media, videos and blogs as he travels north.
